Page Up, the recruitment technology provider used by Spotlight Retail Group (“SRG”) and many other organisations across Australia, has been affected by a data security incident. As a result, our online recruitment system is currently unavailable and we have, as a precaution, closed down the connection to PageUp.

At this stage, PageUp and the Australian Cyber Security Commission are conducting investigations into what data, if any, may have been compromised. To be clear, there is still no evidence that SRG job applicant or employee data has been compromised. Further, PageUp has indicated that the incident has been contained and the threat has now been removed.

As a precaution however, we recommend that anyone who has used our online recruitment system since its launch on 16 April 2018 should check that there has been no unusual activity concerning their personal information. The Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) provides helpful guidance on what to look for.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused. While PageUp is unavailable, all new positions will be advertised via Seek and Indeed and current applications will be processed manually.

You’ll find details on our recruitment process below. Make sure you’re well prepared to keep your nerves at bay and to maximise your chances of making a great impression.

1. Update Your CV

Make sure your CV is not
only up-to-date with your
latest skills and experience,
but that it’s tailored to the
role you are seeking.

It is a legal requirement
that all Anaconda employees
have the right to work in
Australia.

2. Apply

You can apply online by
selecting the relevant job
link above, and uploading your
CV and cover letter. You
will receive an email
confirmation straight away
but it can take up to two
weeks for us to get back to
you. If you haven’t heard
by then, you haven’t been
successful this time.

You can also take your CV
to your closest store and ask
the Store Manager about any
current opportunities.

3. Attend An Interview

If your application has been
successful, we will ask you to
take part in one or more of
the following:

• phone interview
• face-to-face interview
• group interview.

4. Reference & Police
Check

As part of the screening
process, we will obtain
your consent to complete
two work-related reference
checks and, for roles that
require one, a police check.

5. Job Offer

Congratulations! If you
have been successful, you
will receive a written job
offer and an employment
pack with information on
Anaconda and your
responsibilities and
entitlements.
